With 15 years of experience, Tara Lemon Bleakley MA, LPC currently practices general counseling with a focus in the following areas: behavioral problems, depression, anxiety, stress, problems with self-esteem, relationship problems, transitioning problems, parenting, step parenting, divorce, blended family issues, marital issues, trauma related issues, pregnancy issues, infertility and oppositional defiant disorder.

For over 40 + years I have been an advocate for children and families in need of mental health services. It has been gratifying to provide a milieu of services that has effectively met the needs of my clients. The knowledge I have acquired has been recognized by the Office of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Family Services, and Family Roads as a sound clinical practice. I have successfully implemented Parenting and Fathering Models which have had a micro and macro impact on service delivery in Louisiana.

I enjoy working with adults, families, adolescents, and children. I have worked with issues such as grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, divorce/separation, family issues, coping with life changes, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and bullying. The needs and goals of my clients are to discover personal wellness and empowerment. I also help build a better bond and understanding between parents and their children/adolescents.

Dr. LaFleur is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S), a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and a Counselor Educator at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents as well as Filial Play Therapy which is a parent training program designed to increase communication and build a stronger and healthier relationship between parents and their children.

As a registered play therapist my passion lies in working with children and caregivers to unlock their fullest potential and leaning in to their most authentic selves . Employing a unique blend of child-centered play therapy and synergetic play therapy, I integrate insights from neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology. This approach allows me to deeply connect with children while providing parents with a scientific understanding of their child's behaviors. My goal is to create a safe space for self-expression and exploration, fostering empowerment and resilience for both children and their caregivers.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who is dedicated to helping others to find peace in the midst of emotional unrest. I work alongside the client to find realistic and obtainable goals that will improve their quality of life and ability to cope with the stress of their environment, be it at home, work, or inner self.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life challenges. Dr. Jantrell R. Johnson, LPC-S, NCC, LAC, CCS, holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A&M College and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans, LA. Jantrell has been counseling professionally for 6 years and provides clinical supervision to Master level interns, PLPCs and Counselors in Training (CITs). Jantrell believes that the counselor-client relationship is essential to effective counseling and views herself as a change agent in both the mental health and addiction counseling fields.

I offer ONLINE and PHONE counseling. After 25 years in practice, I read John Gottman's best selling book "The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work". I was intrigued and attended a Level One Gottman training in San Francisco. It was fortunate that this was a training with both John and Julie Gottman - I was hooked on the Gottman Method of couple counseling and embarked on the intensive 2 year training necessary to obtain certification in the Gottman method. The Gottmans are at the leading edge of thought in the field of couple counseling. Their methods are based on 40 years of research with thousands of couples.

The essence of who I am as a counselor is centered on helping you gain freedom of and responsibility for your choices by empowering you to become aware of yourself, your environment, and the relationship between the two. It is important for me to create an environment of genuineness, trust, humor, respect, and spontaneity. The counseling relationship can be an intimate and vulnerable space.
