Over 20 years of experience in the medical and mental health fields serves as the foundation for me to provide compassionate and competent therapy and consultation services. I see individual adults, teens and children, as well as couples, parents and families. I have experience working with younger children; development screening for infants and toddlers, and providing play therapy with children starting at 3 yrs. I also specialize in EMDR and use this this technique for a wide range of client concerns.

It is my hope to bring genuine healing and wholeness to individuals, couples, and families. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds who want to change how they manage conflict, mental or physical health issues, and stressful life events. I have been trained in many evidence-based therapeutic modalities, which enables me to be effective in treating depression, anxiety, grief, intrusive and distressing thoughts, mood disturbances, personality disorders, relationship and family issues, anger management, substance use, body image issues, and people who have experienced trauma.

My name is Angela, and I've lived in Colorado with my family for five years. I'm originally from Oklahoma and completed my undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University before pursuing my Master's at Colorado Christian University. My specialization is in trauma counseling, and I believe that understanding our past is crucial for moving forward. As a counselor, I help my clients to identify the root causes of their problems and support them in their journey to healing and personal growth.

Couples therapy has been found to be least effective of all therapies, thus it is important for clients to seek out therapists who are versed in the latest research on couples and marital therapy. Susannah Smith, Ph.D., is an Executive Coach, Systems Consultant, and Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, with active licenses in Colorado, California, Mississippi, Texas and Louisiana. She is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Smith graduated with honors from Vassar College in Social Psychology; completed her M.S. in Clinical Psychology at San Jose State University in California; and received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, with a double emphasis in clinical psychology and organizational development consulting. She is a Certified Trauma Specialist.
