I specialize in helping people resolve anxiety and depression and improve their relationships. I emphasize work with your sense of self, self-esteem, and self-confidence. If you're confused, would like life to work better, want more confidence, or would like to feel more comfortable, I can help.
We can apply therapy inwardly toward being more solid and secure in yourself or outwardly toward becoming empowered in your relationships with others. Once feeling better, I sometimes even help people find the work that they love. I have helped hundreds of people be more satisfied with themselves and their lives.
I use thoughtful honesty, compassion, patience, and calmness in my work. I have strong skills at perceiving, understanding issues, and being supportive and empowering. I have been a therapist since 1994 and have additional training as a life coach. I have experience in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems therapies.
I tend to emphasize cognitive-behavioral approaches. I also have experience outside of therapy, holding a Ph.D. in environmental economics and having worked in that field before changing careers.
