A lot of healing can happen in the context of a supportive and caring relationship. If you are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, marriage/relationship problems, parenting/family issues, painful life experiences or unhealthy habits, I consider it a privilege to walk that journey with you for a little while -- talking through feelings and circumstances, and helping you find a path toward change and healing. As a Christian, I believe that our emotional and spiritual sides are intertwined, and I incorporate Biblical principles in all aspects of the counseling.

I am RLT (Relational Life Therapy) level 3 trained, IFS (Internal Family System) & CBT-informed (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapist, and an approved provider for gambling treatment through California Office of Problem Gambling,.
We face myriad of relational and emotional challenges from childhood to adult years. My goal is to create a safe and caring space, and to guide you through healing these parts leading to a self who is more emotionally aware and connected. You will learn to live with more harmony in the present, and build stronger relationships.

Do you struggle with the pressure of achieving and performing? Do you struggle with your idea of perfection and it's affecting your quality of life, your family, or your self-esteem? Do you feel exhausted by the constant worrying of being "good enough"? Do you ever wonder if life will ever get better? With overexposure and constant messages on social media feeds about what it means to be a "good" mom, a "good" son or daughter, or to be at the top of your field, it's no wonder many of you are feeling depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or burned out.

I work with children, adolescents, families, and couples from a Cognitive Behavioral and Family Systems perspective.
As a psychologist, I allow the space for individuals to gain insight and growth in their lives that help them reach their goals and aspirations. We all encounter challenges, whether it be someone suffering from anxiety and depression, a family who just found out their child has a medical issue, a child with fears, or a teen who has been bullied. During these unfortunate times what is needed is someone to connect with and help you out of this dark cave of distress. One of my greatest strengths has been the ability to connect with others and reveal the ways through this emotional distress.

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
