I have been providing solution-focused mental health services to individuals, couples and families for 20 years. I provide a comfortable, confidential, and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they're striving for. These practices are very helpful for clients faced with issues such as anxiety, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress symptoms, depression, relationship/family issues, stress-related physical problems and life transitions. I have provided counseling services for over 35 years to children, teens, and adults and customize therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. To that end I have trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, in the belief that no one size fits all.

I’m Jennie, a Licensed Professional Counselor who’s passionate about helping others identify the source(s) of their distress, and implement strategies that invite continuous growth and genuine contentment. I enjoy working with individuals and couples who are open to exploring how the past impacts their present-day functioning, and who are willing to do the work to break out of patterns that seem to keep them stuck.

I graduated from Kaplan University with a masters degree in psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. My personal journey has led me to focus primarily on the stressors that stem from trauma and severe life stressors. I have a passion for helping people heal in order to become the best possible version on themselves. I have experience working with clients both in residential treatment centers and in the community. As a retired military/veterans spouse, I have a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges our military families face; I am dedicated to helping them maneuver the different stages of life.

Today’s stressors are in many ways very different than any experienced in generations prior. Transitioning into adulthood is stressful, and Alaskan's face additional challenges that can lead to disruption in school, work, and relationships. This may result in experiencing intense emotions, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, anger, and reckless behaviors. Our work together will help you gain a sense of capability to adapt and overcome current and future challenges.

You overcompensate or try to be invisible, because that's how you learned to survive. You suffer from a sense of not being worthy or enough, but it doesn't have to be like that. Life can be good.
