I am happy to work with people who are looking to strive toward their own personal strength, passion, and peace through counseling. I can provide support for an individual, couple, or entire family. I have completed Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy Training, and enjoy helping to restore harmony to couples of all kinds. I am more than happy to make accommodations for fees based upon income for those who are uninsured, under-insured, or wish to not use their plan benefits. I look forward to developing a therapeutic alliance with clients while working toward resilience, independence, decision-making, and life competence.

I primarily work with children, adolescents, and families. Many of my clients have struggled with life transitions, symptoms of anxiety, depression symptoms, and social skills. Parents are invited to come to sessions to support skills inside and outside the counseling session. Collaborating with the family supports allows for skill acquisition and client empowerment.

I have been practicing clinical social work with children, adults and adolescents for twenty-five years. I strive to provide treatment that is supportive, accepting and one that encourages each individual's unique personal exploration and growth. I use a relaxed, interactive and educational approach to treating depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and recovery, co-occurring disorders, parenting/family support and adjustment to life transitions.

I'm passionate about helping you understand ADHD, how it affects YOU and what you can do with it. ADHD is widely misunderstood as a lack of focus or attention. ADHD is more accurately an issue of regulation which includes emotions, impulsivity, money, attention, sensory sensitivity etc. I work with clients on managing the symptoms of ADHD, the shame, guilt, anxiety and depression that stem from having ADHD in our society. I’ve worked in many capacities including corrections, child welfare, health care, and more. The complexities of substance abuse, sexual trauma, dysfunction within a family, and mental health are some of many issues that individuals I’ve worked along side have faced. Through those different journeys, I found I really enjoy helping people! Going thru some of the darkest times of your life shouldn’t be spent alone. I love providing a safe space, one without judgement or worry to others while guiding them with evidence-based practices.

With over 10 years of experience working as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in working with children 10+, teens, adults and families. I offer support in the areas of depression, anxiety, self-esteem/self worth, family conflicts, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, relationship conflicts, motivation, parenting, career exploration and sports counseling.

My ideal client is one that is struggling but wants to improve. Neurodevelopmental disorders are my JAM! ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders is where I direct much of my clinical experience. It's important to me that my clients (and their parents/families/teachers) understand the uniqueness of their disorder and how to turn a perceived deficit into a SUPERPOWER. All children are wonderful gifts, and I love helping children discover and embrace their best selves. A diagnosis does not define you, your child, or your family.

I believe that people do have the ability to change but often need a little help to reach their goals. I have been successful working with clients who are struggling with addictions, interactions with the legal system, family issues, as well as childhood trauma. I have a common sense, reality based approach that is easy for clients to relate to and am flexible by using several therapeutic theories to help my clients achieve their goals.

We live in a world that is changing every day often creating stress, anxiety, hopelessness, and grief. My role is to walk alongside to provide support and perspective. Each individual is unique and an expert in their own journey. I encourage my clients to pursue their own authentic self while working to debunk societal norms that may be holding them back. I enjoy working with those who are 13+ (adults) to navigate relationship issues, depression, disordered eating; supporting friends and family members associated to persons with substance abuse issues.

I have worked as an LPC for 17 years, much of it based in a school. I work with teens, parents, adults, and families and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I am committed to helping those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, self-harm, lack of motivation, life transitions, and other related challenges. I love to help clients find the best way to meet their own personal goals in a way that works best for them as an individual.

As a Brainspotting consultant and therapist specializing in addiction and recovery along with other mental health issues including depression, anxiety and trauma, I utilize Brainspotting to help clients find the healing necessary for peace and freedom. I offer a genuine and caring environment that allows you the safe space needed to explore your issues or concerns. I believe recovery is a journey and would be able to walk with you as you discover your new path. I am also available to help family members of loved ones who are struggling by offering strategies to help cope with the challenges and changes ahead.
