I am not currently accepting new clients. My name is Jamie DiPino, I am the owner/founder of Holistic Healing Therapy. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, allowing me to implement my eclectic counseling approach to meet the needs of my clients. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, grief/loss, PTSD, domestic violence & more.

Recovery works best when it is a process more of running towards the unfoldment of one's natural strengths than away from "bad" choices. People use intoxicants for a reason, and replacing that choice with healthier choices is a complicated and very individualized process. Support from people in your own life is really helpful, so I try to include a client’s significant others in the treatment process whenever possible. I really believe in lifelong personal growth and see recovery as a foundation to that, not as an end in itself.

My passion is helping clients rediscover their true potentials and bring joy back into their lives. I follow a strengths-based model of practice while utilizing a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral techniques. Essentially, I believe in a holistic approach, in that all of our experiences (physical, emotional, spiritual, and social) are integral in our unique compositions. Our early experiences often show up in our current lives, and can manifest themselves in a myriad of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I value the interaction with my clients and believe in empowering clients by direct participation in the therapeutic process.

I specialize in relationship counseling that includes couples therapy and family counseling services for those interested in making dynamic, lasting changes in their lives and relationships with others.

I have worked with a broad base of clients and stay grounded in a trauma informed, person-centered approach. I work with both teens and adults. In my career as a therapist, I has worked with patients ranging in age from 6 years old to over 70 in a variety of environments. I see each of my patients as the expert of their own lives.

I work well with patients suffering from symptoms that they feel no one has the capability to treat. Many of my patients come to me after they have been to other therapists and have not found relief. My patients come to me for a psychotherapeutic experience different from the usual. The patients who are a good fit for my services are sensitive, intuitive, creative, and have had difficulty reconciling their personality with their personal experiences and the world around them. I am especially skilled at working with acute mental health issues. I have worked at Harborview Medical Center and Fairfax Behavioral Health.

Human beings are born with a desire to be seen, cherished, nurtured, witnessed, engaged, and comforted. People crave connection with one another, relationships fall short, hearts get broken, and our most genuine selves are buried beneath layers meant to defend against further wounding. My passion is helping people find healing and joy after surviving significant disappointment and trauma. I offer clients an invitation to grieve and to challenge defense mechanisms that undermine healthy relationship to self and others. I provide a safe and calm space in which therapeutic integration leads to wholeness and health.
