Hi !! I'm Terri and I am licensed professional counselor in Richmond, VA. I provide individual, family, and group therapy to adults, adolescents, and children. My experience comes from working a variety of roles within mental health and education, including crisis counseling, intensive in-home counseling, and special education. I have worked with a variety of populations including individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. My approach to counseling is person centered, strengths-based counseling using a variety of approaches, such as CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing tailored to your needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has specialized in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 9 years. My background and experiences include work in the public school systems, child welfare systems (child protective services, adoptions, and foster care), private counseling center for adolescents and families, therapeutic recreational services, intensive in-home counseling, and an emergency diagnostic residential facility. I have experience working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, grief & loss, divorce, single parenting, job loss, family conflict, stress, domestic violence, substance abuse, and crisis situations. Laura has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications specializing in Journalism from Norfolk State University. She has earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Special Education also from Norfolk State University. She has earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Nova Southeastern University. She also received a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

The mission of Serenity Cove Pediatrics (SCP) is to provide integrated holistic mental and behavioral health care for children and families while valuing safety and inclusivity. During my fifteen plus years of pediatric practice, I received specialized mental and behavioral health training to care for children and families with trauma. This includes special experience with children/teens with a history of trauma, foster children, adoptive children, pediatric refugees, kinship care, and high risk vulnerable children. ​ Currently, providing Telehealth assistance with specialized pediatric focused medication management in NY and VA.
