Some domains would include schools, homes, summer camps, after school programs, childcares, churches, and group homes. The mission of Serenity Cove Pediatrics (SCP) is to provide integrated holistic mental and behavioral health care for children and families while valuing safety and inclusivity. During my fifteen plus years of pediatric practice, I received specialized mental and behavioral health training to care for children and families with trauma. Ann Abell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families to private practice from previous clinical settings that include residential treatment, community based services and educational settings. She specializes in working with clients seeking to address their experiences with Trauma, Attachment and Relationship Patterns, Depression, Anxiety, Neuro-diversity, and Self-Esteem. Ann also has experience work with families working with the foster care system and the adoption process. Ann is LGBTQIA+ affirming.

I strive to create an environment to support children and adults, to improve their lives by having more enjoyable relationships. I like to provide my patients the required tools to succeed in life. I have loved to serve the community and use my natural ability to empathize. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in May 2015. Since my graduation, I have been performing psychological evaluations and therapy for patients of all ages, gathering a broad base of experience.

My passion involves helping individuals relieve emotional and mental distress on multiple levels by incorporating tools such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I graduated from The College of William and Mary with my M. Ed. in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2015. I have experience with emotionally distressed youth and their families, as well as couples and older adults. I work with clients who struggle with ADHD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum, self-esteem and other issues. I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach, with a strong systems focus to help clients identify sources of resiliency. Whenever possible, I involve the families, particularly the parents, in the treatment of youth. I have a passion for enriching the communication within a family.

Dr. Ava Sardoni is a Pre-licensed Professional and Resident in Clinical Psychology. Ava has 4+ years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families with varying presenting concerns. She provides individual and family therapy services and parent coaching and support services for individuals ages 3-22 aimed to improve behavioral and emotional regulation. She has received training in Clinical and School Psychology at the doctoral level, with a specific interest and focus in supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Becoming a therapist has been my dream since I entered high school. Growing up within my family, I am known as the person everyone can go to with their issues, challenges, and struggles. The struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, and self-doubt we face with a therapeutic relationship can help bring healing and growth in those areas. My concern is to help families and individuals who feel drained and emotionally down have the support and help to bring them back to a stage of happiness and peace.
