Karen is a licensed professional counselor in Virginia with over 15 years’ experience counseling children and families. She specializes in behavioral concerns, social skill development, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, trauma and divorce.

In 2018, Because of the busyness in Northern Virginia, I opened an online practice to make Christian counseling more accessible. After moving to Florida, I expanded the services. I am licensed as an LCSW in both Virginia and Florida. You can receive professional support from the comfort of your own space. I enjoy working with individuals who suffer from anxiety disorders, depression, relationship difficulties and stress management. I tailor your counseling experience to you, using worksheets, talk therapy, art, DBT workbooks, CBT and a variety of other research-based methods.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in adolescents and adults who face challenges with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, coping skills, stress, women’s issues, relationship issues, trauma, adjustment disorders, suicidal thoughts and family conflict. I earned my Master’s degree of education in counseling and human development from George Mason University. I am passionate about helping others navigate through challenges that may have an impact on their day-to-day life. I utilize an integrative approach built on evidence-based interventions.

I am a Resident in Counseling approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling working towards my licensure. I graduated with my Masters' degree in Community Counseling from Regent University. I have previously worked with children, adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. Additionally, I have a passion for working with couples and families. I have worked with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, life transitions, marital and relationship issues, suicidal ideation, and trauma.

My unconditional passion for the Mental Health field is beyond measures. I have worked with a dynamic age range, but mostly specialize in the ages of 11-45 years of age. Rhys graduated from VCU in December of 2021 with a Master of Social Work. While Rhys is open to working with clients of all ages, he has worked extensively with children, adolescents and teens throughout his career. He specializes in working with members of the LBGTQIA+ community.
