Hello, my name is Jonathan and I thank you for visiting my page. Joining counseling tends to be a little bit scary and anxious-provoking. In addition, your friends or family members might think that you are wasting your time and money. So, I can understand how cultural and even your mind will try to convince you that you don't need counseling. So, when is necessary to participate in counseling? I would say whenever you want to get to know more about yourself, when you are noticing doubts, sadness, anxiety, anger, loneliness, and other factors interfering with your sleep, mood, relationships, and daily performance.

For the past 28 years I have been assisting members in our community and surrounding areas with an array of mental health issues confronting them and their families. Bienvenidos! As a Valley native, I have been in private practice since 1982 in Virginia and Texas. I work with clients above the age of 12 (and younger children in family therapy). I specialize in resolving depression and anxiety, and tackling marital problems relating to infidelity, intimacy, child rearing, midlife crisis, and communicating. When a client is motivated, I find that short-term therapy is often sufficient to effect significant positive changes, but I may see clients for longer periods when the problems are related to childhood wounds. I often use dream analysis to deepen our work, and to help in resolving trauma.
