I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Texas. I received my Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have clinical experience in counseling children, adolescents, and adults with issues that include anxiety and depression, grief, behavioral issues, self-harm, multicultural issues, trauma, life transitions, domestic violence and abuse, and family/relationship conflicts. I am trained in TF-CBT and an LGBTQIA+ friendly counselor. Additionally, I utilize play/activity therapy for kiddos who are in need of services.

Our Mental Health and Social Justice Clinic provides comprehensive psychological evaluations and therapy to kids, teenagers, adults, and seniors. We provide trauma informed individual, couples, family, and group sessions including yoga, mindfulness sessions, and art therapy. We are trauma specialists in informed therapy. Our practice provides individual and group therapy services to survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and violent crimes. Our licensed and skilled team of therapists is devoted to providing quality services and our social justice team is committed to seeing you grow in the community.

I treat clients that have general mental health issues. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who need help with depression, anxiety, career, anger, and loss. I partner with attorneys and the court system to perform assessments for legal proceedings. I work with personal injury attorneys, family attorneys, and criminal attorneys. I partner with immigration attorneys to perform mental health assessments for clients seeking "extreme psychological hardship", alylum, U-Visa, or VAWA waiver.

Relationships are what humans were created for and can be extremely life-giving. However, sometimes we go through hardships that may create distance or unhealthy behavior patterns in these relationships. As a counselor and former educator using a holistic approach, I take into consideration the unique needs and strengths of each individual I work with. I strive to create a non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and understood. By utilizing evidence-based techniques, I assist clients in identifying patterns, gaining self-awareness and developing practical tools to overcome obstacles.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with children, adolescents & adults in individual, marital, and couples therapy. My treatment is based on mutual understanding, respect, and trust. I am secular (non-religious) and affirming of LGBTQ+ clients, and I often work with adults wanting to process their family of origin issues. I believe in the power of the therapist-client relationship and the importance of having a safe, supportive space that allows you to sort through your thoughts and feelings. I believe that I cannot do the work for you, and that much of each client's work faces them in the choices and decisions they make in their life in-between our sessions.
