Venecia is a married, retired veteran of the Air Force, mother of one daughter and two grandchildren. She received two M. A degrees from DBU, in Professional Development and Counseling and an M.Ed. from Prairie View A& M University.

My passion is to help children express themselves through play, a child's natural way of communicating. I work with parents who see their children or teens struggle with anxiety, depression, or have experienced trauma. My practice is focused on working with the entire family system. Many times parents seek services for their child. When they come to my office, we work on helping the parent be a partner in the healing process.
