As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with children, adolescents & adults in individual, marital, and couples therapy. My treatment is based on mutual understanding, respect, and trust. I plan to work and incorporate holistic and integrative care with individuals, couples, and families by assessing and addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. I am a genuine counselor meeting clients where they are and moving them forward towards growth and healing. I believe there is strength in human connections and encourage others towards the goals set in counseling.

Relationships are what humans were created for and can be extremely life-giving. However, sometimes we go through hardships that may create distance or unhealthy behavior patterns in these relationships. As a counselor and former educator using a holistic approach, I take into consideration the unique needs and strengths of each individual I work with. I strive to create a non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and understood. By utilizing evidence-based techniques, I assist clients in identifying patterns, gaining self-awareness and developing practical tools to overcome obstacles.

I am an experienced marriage and family therapist and maintain a speciality as a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS). I worked for many years at major eating disorder facilities in the DFW area, providing education and support to individuals and families at various stages in the recovery journey. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore issues together with my clients. I see the role of therapist as a facilitator to join, collaborate, and achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. I work from a systems perspective to address the individual as a whole.

I practice depth psychology with a strong Jungian focus to help heal trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression in adults and children (age 10+). Whether you (or a family member) are going through a life transition due to divorce or job loss, feeling depressed or anxious, or experiencing a relationship conflict, making a change is always easier when you have an experienced professional to guide you through it. I use a psychoeducational approach to help clients understand how they can move forward from their current and past difficulties towards acceptance and a more fulfilling life and future.

My primary specialty is romantic conflict. Many persons I counsel are either "stuck" or at an impasse. They just cannot seem to resolve their conflict. They often see their issues worsen despite efforts. I address the root causes, matters that often go unaddressed. These root issues are often why couples continue to fight. These matters are so strong that they can take the best of romances and turn them into near hatred and disgust. My secondary specialty is emotional management, including with children. I primarily address regret, fear, anger, and anxiety, helping you understand and manage emotions that hold you back.

My goal is to assist you in realizing the highest level of self-fulfillment and well-being by replacing negative thoughts, feelings and self-limiting behaviors with confidence, healthy coping skills, and a high level of personal satisfaction for yourself and your relationships. Trista is passionate about sexual health and wellness. She is eclectic in her treatment style working from a person-centered approach to develop strategies for personal growth, healing and hope. Trista believes in the psychosocial care of her clients, as we address immediate presenting issues and gain a better understanding of any deeper-rooted sources of suffering we can foster healthy growth, restoration and change within self and relationships. There is hope. Through a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, improving your quality of life, from YOUR perspective, is her ultimate goal.

I believe that looking holistically at clients' lives can enhance the therapeutic experience and broaden opportunities for healing. Dari Cosey graduated from Alabama State University with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She works with adults and families in the areas of anger management, suicide prevention, parenting skills, and marriage counseling. Dari's areas of specialties are self-esteem, women’s issues, family/couples, identity, and career.
