My name is Misty East and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing therapy to adolescents, families, couples and the geriatric population for over 15 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns. My passion has been working with clients with trauma histories (sexual, physical and emotional). Clinicians accept health insurance, some clinicians offer therapy services on a sliding scale. Additionally, we offer short-term FREE family therapy for qualifying families. My clients come from diverse backgrounds but all have one thing in common: they are bound by past traumas that continue to control their present day. My primary theoretical approach is one of interpersonal and holistic psychology that draws from acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic, existential, feminist, and multicultural counseling work. I use meditative practice and applied mindfulness as well as a holistic trauma model to allow my clients to find peace within themselves while also equipping them with the skills needed to continue their personal growth after therapy is complete.

Dr. Rial-Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Doctor of Ministry. She is a practical, interactive therapist who uses an array of therapeutic techniques. She incorporates a blend of conventional, spiritual, and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with clients to help them to build upon their strengths to bring life and blessings into all that they experience.

I have been a counselor working with children, adults, and families for 25 years. I believe individuals have the strengths and resources to solve challenges in their lives and my job as a counselor is to help you discover how to use them to bring about change. I have worked with survivors of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and have extensive experience working with children with behavioral and emotional issues and supporting parents in these situations. I work effectively with those dealing with depression and anxiety as well as other mental health diagnoses that are causing discomfort.

I earned a BA degree in English Literature from Bethel University, followed by a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Seminary, and a Masters in Counseling degree from the University of North Texas. Since 1995, I have dedicated my career to counseling, serving in various counseling agencies, psychiatric hospitals, a medical institution in Dallas, and providing private practice therapy services in the Dallas metro area. Throughout these years, I've had the privilege of assisting numerous individuals, couples, and families in processing their concerns and overcoming challenges.
