FSC also collaborates and provides services at multiple community-based settings to best serve client needs. FSC employs a professional staff of skilled clinicians who hold degrees in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or closely related disciplines. Our clinicians join clients in identifying solutions to meet and respond to life's challenges. I have held a long passion for mental health counseling since my younger days. Naturally, I am inclined to helping people and I sympathize with those who are experiencing life challenges. I have always given an ear to people who are in pain and given them words of comfort and encouragement including strangers.

I have 20+ years of experience working in psychiatric hospitals, medical facilities, community health centers, pediatric clinics, schools, and residential treatment centers. I offered many years to working with children, adolescents, parents, and families through child protective services, rape crisis centers, shelters, neighborhood centers, and adoption centers. I am experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders including PTSD, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, & Psychosis including the management of other symptoms that stem from family/ relationship conflict, social difficulties, poor school performance, and violence/ abuse.

Today begins a journey to wholeness. Addressing current grief issues, family of origin issues, or dealing with change of life issues needs a supportive well trained professional. I believe you have the answers you need inside of you and my job is to assist you in discovering your answers. Spiritual guidance can speed the results. I no longer see children. I do telehealth and in-person sessions.

My goal is to help my clients learn about themselves and their loved ones. We are all in relationships , so how do we get what we need from these relationships while giving others what they need as well? My goal is to help with this complex balancing act. Life transitions make balance difficult. So whether you are dealing with a new marriage/baby, an empty nest, marriage difficulties, job loss, grief or any number of these transitions, it is my goal to help my clients through these transitions with empathy, caring and common sense strategies from many theoretical perspectives.

Sarah Whitlock is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and seniors address specific needs and challenges related to achieving personal growth and living life on purpose. Sarah's areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, working with the impact of chronic illness, and major life transitions. She completed her Master's degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake and earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University-College Station.

I have worked with adults, children, teens, and families for over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was originally licensed in Oklahoma in 2004 and became licensed in Texas when I moved here in 2013. At that time, I started my private practice. I see clients of all ages for individual and family counseling at the Grant Rd. location. I am only accepting adolescent clients (ages 12 and older) and adults at this time in the Woodlands location. Throughout the past decade I've worked with University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work, Menninger Clinic, The Council on Recovery and Montrose Center. I have specific interest in working with men and couples who are looking to deepen intimacy within themselves and in their relationships. As an educator and clinical supervisor, I offer guidance to students as they establish and fine-tune their love for this work.
