I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 11 years of professional experience. My specialties include trauma and abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault, family conflicts, stress and anxiety, depression, identity development, multicultural concerns, compassion fatigue, and coping with life changes.

With over 19 years of experience providing a broad range of mental health services, my current practice strongly emphasizes providing therapeutic interventions for children with behavioral and emotional challenges, while also welcoming the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples needing counseling services. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in many elements of the mental health field. Some of those include clinical intake, general counseling, marital counseling, crisis intervention, crisis management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and child behavior management.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I seek to assist kids, adolescents, individuals, and families to resolve or better cope with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relational or social problems, parenting issues, divorce recovery, and trauma. My background includes working with children and adolescents in a school setting for the past 29 years, including working as a school counselor for the last eleven years. In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I obtained my LPC licensure, so that I was able to work with individuals and families as well, which I have done since 2016.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I assist children, adolescents, and adults working through complex trauma, shame, anxiety, and other disturbances. I utilize a variety of methods, aimed to help you heal, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, HeartMath, TF-CBT, EFT Tapping, and Sand Tray. You can expect a genuine experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, giving you the confidence to be yourself again.

Becoming a parent often brings up a wide range of emotions. Sometimes it is the long awaited reward after struggling with infertility, or bearing the grief of miscarriage and loss. Sometimes it is the excitement of adding to a growing family. Sometimes it is the fear of reliving physical, emotional, or mental pain and hardship. Sometimes it is grappling with the societal and cultural expectations of parenting. The experiences that arise for parents during conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting deserve a space for specialized care and attention. This specialized care is what I offer in support of your goals.

We live in a world with set ideals and standards that weigh heavily on us pressing insurmountable expectations that we simply cannot meet. We also live with our own selves and our own minds putting the same demanding and unforgiving pressure on us. So, how might we break free into weightless grace? A jumping off point is beginning with “a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart" (Psalm 51:17). Our brokenness may range from depression, anxiety, grief, bitterness, addictions, shame, mental and emotional anguish and instability and are brought on by different variables such as trauma and attempting to shoulder this weight alone.
