I have worked with adults, children, teens, and families for over 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I was originally licensed in Oklahoma in 2004 and became licensed in Texas when I moved here in 2013. At that time, I started my private practice. I see clients of all ages for individual and family counseling at the Grant Rd. location. I am only accepting adolescent clients (ages 12 and older) and adults at this time in the Woodlands location. I provide both mental health and substance use counseling (as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor).

As a trauma therapist, I am dedicated to supporting clients on their journey of self-discovery and healing. My focus is on helping clients create internal safety and address the impact of trauma on their well-being. I specialize in working with adults, children, and teens who have experienced trauma and distressing symptoms. Children spend the majority of their time existing in a world built for adults. When they face challenges, they are often offered solutions that work for adults and, when those solutions don't work, it causes frustration for all parties involved. They may start to struggle with their behavior, struggle emotionally, and suffer socially. Less than 16% of therapists in Texas are male, which may very well be why so many men don’t go to therapy. I specialize in men’s issues including fatherhood, life transitions and stigma. Additionally, families often need support when raising their children. I work with families and children through difficult transitional times, such as grief, school anxiety, college transitions, and family communication.

My name is Lyn Bjorgo. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults presenting with a variety of concerns. Life change adjustment issues, eating disorders, and depression are the issues I treat most often. My personality and therapeutic style tend to be effective with a variety of clients.
