My name is Joann Aronow MS, LPC, LCDC, NCC, CHST, CSAT, CPTT. I have experience with Alcohol addiction, Drug addiction, Sex addiction, ED, Dual Diagnosis, Couples, and Family Therapy. I formerly worked at Sante Center for Healing as an Outpatient Therapist and am now in private practice. I I have my Masters Degree from TWU in Community Counseling. I am a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key, accepted to Who's Who in College Students 2013, a member of Alpha Rho and TCA.

I have been in practice 16-years and have opened my service area thanks to Google Meet & Facetime. I became a therapist (I have a dual degree in both individual & family therapy) after beginning my own work over 2 decades ago. I see therapy as a tool, a valuable asset that helps us to pull from our history and present the things that work so our future can be everything we want.

This is always the hard part, finding a counselor that feels right for you, and the initial discomfort in meeting them for the first time. I will endeavor to make this part as seamless as possible while striving to see the world through your eyes. We often have the idea that if we don't solve our problems alone we have somehow failed. I believe that we can thrive when we are able to discuss our problems with someone we trust. My hope is that I can provide a space where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns. We all get "stuck" from time to time. Using client centered counseling, I begin in"the here and now". Solution based therapy is also an integral part of the experience. The client guides while I serve as the agent in the helping process. I offer tools to get you "unstuck". Life is full of conflicts. She is certified in the Gottman marriage counseling method I & II and utilizes Sue Johnson's theory of Emotionally Focused Therapy for repairing attachment in couples work. Tamara is trained in EMDR therapy I & II which is used for treating trauma.

April has a passion for helping struggling children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Having experienced the effects of alcoholism, depression and mental health illness in her family, she has a deep compassion for people struggling with mental illness and she believes counseling is a calling, not a profession. April is a Licensed Professional Counselor and she has over 15 years of experience working with individuals, families and groups.
