Hello, I am Dr. Melissa Garrett-Moultrie. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Spring, Texas, with over 20 years of experience. I work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples. I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, family conflict, parenting problems, grief and loss, gender identity, sexual trauma, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Child–Parent-Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a 11-session parent training program designed to help strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. Parents will be guided through the process by me, a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in child development, relational attachment, and play based interventions. Parents learn both by traditional in-session learning and by experiential recorded play sessions at home. Feedback, personalized resources, and support are provided throughout the process. They are taught basic play therapy skills and principles that they can feel confident implementing at home.

Therapy is a journey, and some clients enter my office with very little to no hope for themselves or for change. I assure my clients that I will hold the hope for them until they can hold it for themselves. I believe that therapy is most effective when we explore the source of our self-limiting beliefs. This involves looking into our family of origin, and how we came to think, feel and behave as we do. Through exploring the source, clients often come to see themselves in a new light which helps them develop a deeper sense of self-love and worth.

My name is Dr. Benetta Ernestine and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, National CertifiedCounselor, and National Certified School Counselor in the state of Texas. I have over 30 years of social and human service experience in family and child welfare. I have worked with Hospice patients and families and worked with group therapy and individual therapy. I am a relationship counselor who specializes in working with high-conflict couples. We believe that our behavior patterns in relationships are often shaped by experiences from childhood. For instance, a couple that is excited to get married may find themselves constantly arguing and feeling rejected. I can help track the cycle of conflict (Emotional Family Therapy by Sue Johnson) connecting/contrasting the secondary and primary emotions and noting the attachment impact of the couple.
