One day I was asked if I could have any superpower, what would it be and why? I replied, “The power of healing. If I could take away other people’s burdens, then I feel that I have done what is desperately needed for the world.” In a world full of suffering and pain, we all seek to be seen and have our voices heard. However, finding someone you can trust and open up to can be difficult. This broken world is hard to not give up on, but I am here to tell you that you are not alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Paris, Texas with 10 years of experience practicing. I work with clients who are dealing with a wide range of concerns including Grief, Crisis Intervention, Trauma & Serious Illness, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety/Panic, Schizophrenia, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, family of origin concerns & exploration, & many other psychological & behavioral challenges.

Becoming a parent often brings up a wide range of emotions. Sometimes it is the long awaited reward after struggling with infertility, or bearing the grief of miscarriage and loss. Sometimes it is the excitement of adding to a growing family. Sometimes it is the fear of reliving physical, emotional, or mental pain and hardship. Sometimes it is grappling with the societal and cultural expectations of parenting. The experiences that arise for parents during conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting deserve a space for specialized care and attention. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I seek to assist kids, adolescents, individuals, and families to resolve or better cope with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relational or social problems, parenting issues, divorce recovery, and trauma. My background includes working with children and adolescents in a school setting for the past 29 years, including working as a school counselor for the last eleven years. In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I obtained my LPC licensure, so that I was able to work with individuals and families as well, which I have done since 2016.

With over 19 years of experience providing a broad range of mental health services, my current practice strongly emphasizes providing therapeutic interventions for children with behavioral and emotional challenges, while also welcoming the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples needing counseling services. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in many elements of the mental health field. Some of those include clinical intake, general counseling, marital counseling, crisis intervention, crisis management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and child behavior management.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I assist children, adolescents, and adults working through complex trauma, shame, anxiety, and other disturbances. I utilize a variety of methods, aimed to help you heal, such as EMDR, Brainspotting, HeartMath, TF-CBT, EFT Tapping, and Sand Tray. You can expect a genuine experience that goes beyond traditional talk therapy, giving you the confidence to be yourself again.
