As a Psychotherapist, my goal is to provide clients with a safe and supportive space to distort negative thoughts and behaviors and learn new skills to live a more productive life. My therapeutic modality is collaborative based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, with my style being Person Centered. With us working together we can build on your strengths that you already possess and gain a renewed sense of purpose.

Mental health struggles, whether intense or mild, can really make everyday life difficult. Sometimes these struggles affect us personally and other times they affect the people around us, making us collateral damage. Attending therapy can help us learn skills to manage such struggles. For example, processing is a skill that allows us to understand our thoughts, understand our feelings, accept certain aspects of our lives and situations, and work through the struggle to move on. Learning to process and work through our struggles can make a huge difference in how we handle stress and daily life situations.

Everyone who comes in is experiencing some sort of crisis or breakdown in their life and wants some relief from their suffering and confusion. I provide a safe, calm, comforting environment that allows us to talk about the client's concerns and figure out a way to get through the crisis and learn how to prevent future breakdowns. This will include healing past wounds and learning how to use those breakdowns as stepping stones to positive breakthroughs in the future.

My philosophy on what makes an effectual clinician is deep compassion along with a strong ability to confront what a client can not see, doesn't want to see, or runs from, in a way that is digestible. I help individuals, couples and families to both pinpoint their hearts' desires and figure out the best way to attain these dreams. A lifelong student of the human personality, I presented my original research on behavioral inhibition at Oxford University. My work was published in Oxford's professional journal, THE FORUM.
