I have been in practice 16-years and have opened my service area thanks to Google Meet & Facetime. I became a therapist (I have a dual degree in both individual & family therapy) after beginning my own work over 2 decades ago. We have a few therapists to choose from. Michelle Blank is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Anxiety, Substance-Abuse, and Trauma. She works with adult individuals that are 18+. She has night and weekend hours available. Eric Rothe specializes in substance abuse and trauma. He works with 18+ individuals. Pat Keaton is bi-lingual in Spanish and English and works with individuals 18+ and couples. Pat specializes in trauma, substance abuse, and life transitions.

I am a licensed clinician who has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, and bipolar. I believe that from our birth we begin building an image of who we are, how relationships should function, and how the world works around us. For many of us, adverse experiences in life can lead to difficulty managing stress or daily functioning as we get older. We may need help processing our lived experiences and understanding how they have effected our decision making and the struggles we face today. I believe that, by focusing on the present and applying the past, we can discover both our goals and our strengths.

In my work with clients I prefer to maintain a holistic focus on the individual. No matter what you are struggling with I find it hard to imagine that there is only one way of looking at it to understand the problem. My goal in therapy is to have my clients walk away from session with new insights and goals that allow them to orient towards creating change. Knowing what it is that you want out of life can be incredibly powerful, and therapy can be a great opportunity for growth.

I have 20 years of clinical experience working with adults and teens, and 15+ years providing EMDR Level II therapy (a modality that can swiftly address anxiety, grief and trauma). In my practice I have seen individuals discover their strengths, heal themselves and create a life worth living. I aim to establish a therapeutic relationship that allows clients to grow and change in a safe and supportive environment. I believe it is important to honor clients' values, unique experiences, and complex journeys.

Jean graduated with my MSW from Edinboro University. She has spent her professional life being a part of the helping relationship. Jean had the opportunity to work at the forensic unit, domestic violence shelter, addiction facility, and as a clinical program director for an adolescent facility. She values learning from my clients as well as sharing the knowledge.

My counseling style is solution focused. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a zeal for teaching coping skills. I like to focus on identifying strengths and helping maximize them to overcome obstacles. I'm here to help sort through things that are difficult right now and offer a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. The first and most important step is reaching out for help.

Mental health challenges can occur when past or current events become too overwhelming, or when our own emotional state seems as though it is out of our control. When we are living too much in the future, or too much in the past, and not enough time is spent in the present, our system (mind and body) can either become over-reactive, or cause us to shut down. This can lead us to feeling stuck, and disconnected from ourselves and the world around us, as though we are just going through the motions of everyday life. When we tune into the messages of our body, we can begin to feel more connected to self and others.

Hello and welcome! My area of focus is providing culturally competent counseling to individuals of varying mental health difficulties. I work with clients with various presenting issues, including anxiety and depression, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and addictions. Hello! I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural Licensed Psychologist. I work primarily with adult clients and have extensive experience working with survivors of interpersonal trauma. I’ve also worked with individuals affected by depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and complicated family relationships. When working with clients, I use a person-centered and relational-cultural approach and have training and experience with Cognitive Processing Therapy, a cognitive behavioral approach for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

I am a Trauma Certified Family Life Educator, Researcher, and Coach. I am the owner of Bridging the Gaps Family Life Services where I offer family life coaching and education for families experiencing significant life transitions and distress. I am passionate about helping families in crisis and supporting women who are mothers of tweens, teens, and young adults who are experiencing identity distress and trauma. Many of my clients are looking for skills and resources to navigate overwhelm, chronic stress, caregiver fatigue, and maternal burnout while, also, creating deeper connections with their children, family, and friends.
