Si no fuera por las personas que Dios puso en mi vida, no sé dónde estaría hoy. Crecí en Colombia durante un tiempo de mucha violencia y fuí testigo de mucho sufrimiento que me afectó personalmente cuando mi papá fue acesinado. Los efectos que esto tuvo sobre mi familia y sobre mí me guiaron a pedir ayuda. Todos necesitamos a alguien que nos ayude, consuele, y guíe hacia la salud y la sanidad. Creo que la terapia es un esfuerzo colaborativo – nadie conoce a usted mismo mejor que usted. Por eso, trabajaremos juntos para identificar las áreas en que prefiere recibir apoyo y las herramientas o estrategias terapéuticas que mejor le ayude. Mi enfoque terapéutico incluye identificar las fortalezas de cada cliente y ser informado acerca de trauma y sus efectos. Con esto, espero crear un espacio en dónde cado uno se sienta cómodo y libre para expresarse.

Buscar ayuda es una de las cosas más valientes que puede hacer un ser humano. Por eso, estoy totalmente comprometido la tratamiento de quienes me confían sus dificultades y problemas más sensibles. He dedicado mis esfuerzos clínicos y de investigación a ayudar a los hombres sobrevivientes de un trauma a lograr el bienestar psicológico y el bien estar que todos somos dignos de disfrutar.

You question how you can work on yourself when you are the one preventing the growth. Pablo Neruda’s poem "We Are Many" describes the internal conflict that many of us feel. As a psychotherapist, I noticed that my clients needed something more than just traditional talk therapy. This realization led me to become a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist to help people “befriend” the internal conflict and embrace it with love and compassion.

I approach every client with respect and listen to their story to understand them fully and collaboratively work towards their goals. I believe the healing in counseling occurs in the process rather than the details of what has occurred.I see it as an honor to walk with my clients as they increase their awareness, improve insight, and develop into the best version of themselves as possible.
