I typically work with issues concerning life transitions, addiction, couples conflict, and Family of Origin. I also love working with clients looking to detransition/desist. I have significant experience working with complex cases. Each client brings their individual stories into the room. By the time we seek help, life has typically not been going as we expected. We want to find a way out, but are unsure how to do so. What we need is someone to help us be a guide through to recovery. This is a life-long change that will need continued support. Not only is this our battle, but the battle of those around us.

In my personal and professional life, I have found one thing to be true: Life can be hard. I have a passion for supporting others in resolving pain and reclaiming fullness in life. While pain is an inevitable part of the human experience, suffering is optional. I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal from relational and other traumas, problematic sexual behaviors, addictions, and intimacy disorders. I see brokenhearted adults and children as they learn to cope with an unstable world. My heart is to heal the broken hearted and give hope where hope was once lost.

I love helping my clients find the peace and joy in life that they have always wanted! I have been working with children, families, couples and individual clients for the past 15 years and have experience working with crisis situations, domestic violence, suicidal and self harming thoughts as well as family crisis intervention. I also work with clients suffering with depression, anxiety, grief and marital issues. I am passionate about helping individuals and families find the balance and wholeness they need as well as any other goals they have in the therapeutic process.

Accepting New Clients - Grief, low self-esteem, trauma and shame are a part of addiction. A large part of my practice centers around working with families and helping parents of children who may be having behavior problems at home or at school and working with the children and adolescents themselves. I incorporate child-centered play therapy with young children as well as Adlerian and behavioral concepts with parents. I am a licensed psychologist with Health Service Provider in Psychology credential, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and a retired MTSU professor after teaching in the Professional Counseling Program for 25+ years. In addition to helping families, I also work extensively with couples and individuals who may be experiencing a variety of problematic daily living situations.

Hello, I am Emily Teague, a licensed clinical social worker that specializes in working with women, couples, adolescents, and children. I am passionate about the work I do with all of my clients. It is my belief that every individual can benefit from caring, non-judgmental and unbiased insight. I work with women, couples, adolescents and children who have experienced trauma and/or abuse and individuals who have a mental health diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, oppositional defiance, etc.

Clients utilize my testing and evaluation services to determine the nature of their learning difficulties and to develop a treatment plan tailored to help them overcome these difficulties. Many clients receive counseling to help them to improve their school or work performance and to improve their self-esteem. Referrals are made to medical doctors if medications are deemed necessary (i.e., for ADHD, depression, etc.). Also, I am passionate about helping others with various emotional difficulties, relationship problems, and improving general life satisfaction through individual, family, and group therapies.

Developmentally in the US, we begin to truly form our identity as teenagers, but sometimes that gets stunted for one reason or another. I want to be able to walk by your side while you discover and choose who you want to be at whatever age that may happen. Anxiety, depression, and OCD are other issues I focus on.

Unfortunately, I am not currently accepting any new clients at this time. "BE STRONG because things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it never lasts forever." Strength is something we all need help with at times. It is my goal to guide clients through stressful and difficult times in order to help them develop the skills and perspective necessary to manage the constant struggles life hands us all. Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Regret, Guilt, Shame and Addiction are things that can be coped with in order to move on.

For over five years, I have had the pleasure of listening to clients stories.
