I am a licensed professional counselor that has been working in behavioral health for over 20 years. I am a lifelong resident of South Jersey and obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees from La Salle University in Philadelphia.

I have experience working with individuals, couples and families on issues related to addiction, infidelity and trust, self esteem, depression, anxiety, life changes, divorce, identifying goals, grief and loss as well as caregiver stress and elder adult issues and transitions. I have also worked with clients that are struggling with their identity, motivation and setting goals. I have experience with exposure response therapy to assist those with OCD. I also use trauma informed care to work with those who have experienced traumatic events from abuse to loss.

My ideal client is someone who feels like their life just isn’t working - maybe they’re struggling with unresolved anxiety and depression or leaning on alcohol or marijuana a little too much to cope with everyday stressors. Maybe they’re going through a big life transition or just aren’t satisfied with their relationships. Whatever their current issues are, this person wants to feel better but doesn’t know how to get there. They are open to therapy and ready to see where it could lead them.

My ideal client desires to get the most out of their lives by incorporating improved psychological and spiritual practices. My deeply empathic approach is supported by the most advanced training a talk therapist can obtain. My 20 plus years of post-graduate experience allows a client to receive effective and personal treatment. I have successfully treated numerous clients who have struggled with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief & loss. Hello! My name is Allie, and I am a professional counselor. I decided to become a counselor because I enjoy being a support system. I have worked in partial care transitional housing facilities and have an extensive background in providing outpatient counseling services. I use a trauma-informed, holistic, and strengths-based approach with all my clients. I also commonly use CBT, MI, expressive therapy, and solution-focused strategies in sessions. Most recently, I was trained in TF-CBT by the CARES institute for adolescent survivors of abuse.

My goal as a licensed clinical social worker is to meet individuals where they are in life presently, whether they need to process ongoing psychological challenges, or current anxiety and stress related to everyday concerns. With my patients, I want to help process through feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and help facilitate a better understanding of any underlying issues. Ultimately, helping individuals to be able to live a more healthy and productive life.
