I have 20 years of experience working with individuals, marriages and families on some everyday issues that have quick solutions as well as some complex, long-term problems that require in-depth therapy. I have extensive training in the leading approaches in psychotherapy and have learned the tricks of the trade from the most respected names in the field. I use a comprehensive approach of therapy and psychological assessment in my practice.

I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary. I have additional training in Sex Therapy, Sexual Addiction, Trauma and Abuse and Sexuality Issues. I am trained in and working toward certification in EMDR. I have also taken the Gottman Couples Communication Course. I work with people who have been sexually abused or assaulted as either children or adults, those with depression, grief, anxiety, stress, trauma (civilian and military) , sexual dysfunction,sexual addiction, sexual pain disorders as well those with infertility. I also work with people with genetic disorders as I have Masters in Medical Genetics.

By providing a client-centered approach to therapy, I hope to bring safety and warmth to the therapy room. I utilize an integrated approach that synthesizes my Christian values with research-based practices in order to give the very best care unique to each individual. We have been married for 39 years and we are both Licensed Professional Counselors and National Certified Counselors. We have years of practical experience in couple, marriage, and family relationship that is complimented by our academic and professional credentials. As a Sexual Addiction Specialist (C-SASI), Russ works with male clients battling sexual addiction, problem behaviors with pornography, and recovering from affairs. This work has included the spouses of these men as well. Russ also works with those dealing with depression and anxiety, adolescents and their families, couples/marriage counseling, individuals dealing with shame and past trauma, and men presenting with unwanted same sex attraction.

I am a licensed professional counselor. With over 15 years in the social service field. I am passionate about working with children, adults, and families. My Professional objects includes a commitment of implementing change in the lives of others through healing and growth. I am a licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor with over 15 years of experience in helping individuals overcome challenges related to depression, anxiety, and stress disorders. With a Ph.D. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am well-equipped to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to my clients. I am also an Assistant Professor of Counseling and Director of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Reformed Theological Seminary.

In my practice I work with two groups of people, couples and Men/Adolescent Boys. When working with couples we focus on building trust and safety while exploring past hurts, marital conflict, parenting struggles, resentment, affairs and addiction. I also enjoy working with couples who are newly approaching marriage with pre-marital counseling. When working with Men/Adolescent boys we explore grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety relationships, betrayal, depression, ADD/ADHD, personal failure, divorce, sexual struggles, infidelity, pornography, drugs and alcohol addiction.
