I also train master's and doctoral level student therapists at a local university to help clients confront any life challenges. Throughout my career, I have never met a truly "broken" person incapable of making positive changes, and I work collaboratively with my clients to resolve their unique issues. Thomas C. I specialize in individual counseling with those who are struggling with a variety of issues ranging from anxiety, depression, divorce, marriage, parenting and blended families. I help assist my clients to develop boundaries in relationships, to develop a healthy personal identity, and to establish balance in the many areas of their life. Most recently I have been trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART uses imagery rescripting and memory reconsolidation to alter negative emotions and sensations associated with pain or trauma, in as few as 1-5 sessions.

With over a decade experience with working in counseling, I have the skills needed to address concerns ranging from depression and anxiety, family concerns, weight loss with a focus on coping skills and addictive traits, to marital problems from connection to affair recovery. Lawrencia has experience working with individuals, couples, families, children and teens - ages 10 and up. I work with clients who have a variety of challenges such as: racial trauma, adjustment and transition issues, relationship conflict and challenges, PTSD, parent-child relationships, struggle with self-care, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression and more! Lawrencia works with a variety of populations. However, working with adolescent and teen girls, minority populations and exploring the effects of historical trauma are the clinician's favorites.

Sometimes the small things make the biggest difference and the largest challenges are not so big in perspective. I believe that participating in counseling can provide that perspective and be a most remarkable and rewarding journey. The counseling process is not always easy and can be quite difficult.
