As a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice since 2014, I have experience working with people of all ages and from varied backgrounds. If you are living with depression or anxiety, having trouble managing a major transition or stressor, wading through grief, or seeking support in coping with difficult emotions or traumatic memories, I would be happy to work alongside you in identifying the resources you need to manage these difficulties successfully. Accepting new clients. I know that finding a counselor can be a scary and daunting task. I work with clients ages fourteen through adulthood dealing with various issues including anxiety, depression and mood instability. Through counseling services I help individuals navigate their independence successfully while maintaining healthy relationships with family members, friends, and themselves.

Often clients have lost hope, being driven by anxiety and depression along with lack of coping skills other than substance use or behaviors that no longer work. Often there is unresolved trauma or grief or the family system has broken down. My client's receive Hope at first session, I have experience of seeing client's find healing as they activate the great healer inside. Clients find a new way of coping and framing their process to meet their goals.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Warrior Goddess Training Facilitator, Ayurvedic Wellness Coach, Peristeam Facilitator, and Reiki Practitioner. I have been working in the mental health field for over 22 years and have a holistic perspective.

I am aware that navigating one's own path can be difficult at times. Sometimes we seem to lose our way, and hopefully I have the flashlight that can help you find your way back. My experience has been in working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Families are complicated systems as they are made up of individuals with their own personal needs, views and wants. I believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect.

Our life experiences can sometimes leave us feeling isolated, stressed, & emotionally drained. You feel stuck and you’re struggling to show up as the best version of yourself with those you love most. Life has recently been full of changes that have only made it clear how disconnected you feel from yourself & others. With our world increasingly changing every day, feelings of ‘uncertainty’ are constantly on the rise. Often, we can find it difficult to consistently meet the challenges and demands of our given lifestyle. But add to this that we are frequently taken to task by a ‘surprise unknown’ or two: Lost jobs. Lost relationships. Health issues. Even a lost childhood pulling at you. Maybe all of the above, and then some! Of course, each of us tries to meet these unknowns to the best of our ability. And at times even our absolute best efforts won’t get us back on course.

It is my deep belief that we each strive to be our best selves. This journey can be difficult and requires that we are able to recognize our own personal strengths and values. Clients should see the results of therapy in a measurable amount of time. This belief is where I begin treatment with the clients presenting problem guiding services.

As someone that, at different times in my life, has sought out therapy I can appreciate how difficult taking that first step to reach out can be. During these unprecedented times, many people are enduring feelings of depression, grief, and anxiety. My goal is to help you address these feelings and to develop appropriate coping skills to handle these times. I believe in a client/therapist relationship that helps you to be your best "you" by nurturing the tools and skills that already exist and helping you build a bigger "tool box" to work with.

Beginning something new can be a challenge. My clients have often tried everything and are excited to find newer approaches to their problems when everything else has failed. I am especially excited to work with individuals who have faced adversity and are committed to their own resiliency. I look forward to thinking outside the box to find a individualized compassionate approach to face problems head on.

It's important to learn how to trust yourself, love yourself, treat yourself, challenge yourself, and see yourself through someone else's eyes.
