I have over 25 years experience helping clients of all ages tap into their strengths to achieve their life's goals. My non-judgmental, authentic and empathic approach inspires, motivates and guides clients into becoming healthier, happier and more connected in their lives. I blend many types of research-based theories and practices to find the unique strategy that helps clients triumph over their weaknesses. As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I work with individual clients in the diagnosis and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and addictions. I work with a diversity of people to better understand their personal psychology and behavior, resulting in new options and positive outcomes. Additionally, I offer assistance for couples struggling with infidelity, communication, conflict resolution and resentment.

My goals with clients are to reduce anxiety, improve mood and behavior problems, and increase inner peace, ease, and balance. I value the opportunity to help others face and overcome their fears and live more value consistent lives. Seeing my clients' bravery lead to short and long term growth encourages me on a daily basis. I work with the full age range of clients, and tailor my approach based on individual and family needs and presenting concerns. My primary theoretical orientation is cognitive behavioral.

Christina N. Garcia, LPC, has an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has experience working with children ages 10+, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She believes therapy must be tailored to each unique individual and she not only respects but embraces diversity. With warmth and authenticity, she strives to provide safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative support to individuals throughout the therapeutic process. Christina believes no child or person of any age is “bad” or “broken” and that all individuals have strengths, gifts and the ability to make desired positive changes.

My goal is to help you discover how you can overcome your personal struggles and resolve the issues that are keeping you stuck so that you can live the life you envision for yourself.
