Animal Assisted Counseling of Colorado's (AACC) mission is to incorporate animal assisted interactions with evidenced based practices in order to improve mental health in children, adolescents, adults, and families. AACC believes in the theory that individuals learn best when they are involved and active in the process of change. AACC also believes in a strengths based and culturally sensitive perspective that sees therapy as a collaborative process with our clients. We believe that clients have the strengths within them to facilitate the changes they want to see in their life.
AACC's services can include individual, family, and group Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) sessions. AACC works with therapy dogs, rats, and Guinea Pigs.
