Common problems that clients bring to me include relationship problems, depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma, child behavior problems, addictions, and having problems adjusting to changes in life. I practice spiritually-integrated counseling from a Christian worldview.

I bring to my clients over 40 years of clinical experience, working with Veterans as the retired Chief of Mental Health at the VA in Lexington, KY and in as a clinician in other military and private practice settings. I am Board Certified in Counseling Psychology (ABPP). I am a generalist and use cognitive, behavioral and neurobiological approaches to treat a wide range of problems from anxiety, depression and trauma to couples’ and family issues. I look forward to getting down to the hard work of helping you to overcome whatever personal adversity you may have.

My new fees will be in line with people who have medium to higher copays and no one has to meet a deductible. This simplifies the therapy process for all of us and I still seek quick solutions without sacrificing quality. My style is informal and your comfort is important to me as we deal with difficult, often painful subjects. This less formal billing process fits well with my style.

I am a Latina Therapist who specializes in relationship concerns, trauma and self worth issues. I practice from an intersectional, relational and social justice point of view and work hard on decolonizing mental health. I am LGBTQIA+ and Poly/CNM/Kink affirming and trained.
