As a Licensed Professional Counselor I have experience in a variety of therapeutic settings including both outpatient and residential where I have helped people of all ages work through personal difficulties that are keeping them from developing their full potential. I have a passion for working with people seeking to find healing, growth, and a sense of identity in their lives. I strive to provide a calm, safe, and supportive space for all people. I have experience with career counseling, assessment, family, couples, and individual therapy formats dealing with a variety of issues, including family and/or marital conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, etc.. I work alongside my clients to help empower and support them on their individual journeys.

I believe each person has the resiliency and innate strength to heal from traumas in their life journey. My education, work experience and trainings have focused on helping individuals who have experienced trauma in many forms. I've work with families and individuals from birth through adulthood. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in the LGBTQIA+ community. My background working with children and caregivers in the hospital setting has given me a unique opportunity to work with various medical conditions and extensive healthcare trauma.

Anna works with families, couples, adolescents and children. She has extensive experience in crisis counseling, individual, and groups. She holds a Masters degree in Community Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy. Anna has been trained by one of the top trauma therapists in the nation and is a certified trauma therapist herself; as well as EMDR trained. Anna is also a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist. (CSAT) Anna offers multiple day customized therapy intensives as well as weekly outpatient appointments.

I primarily work with adolescent males (i.e., ages 13-26), but I also have experience working with young adults who are single or married. I also have experience providing pre-marital through Prepare/Enrich for couples that are considering marriage. My work with clients addresses a range of issues, including family conflict, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other issues. I am trained to provide EMDR and Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) to my clients in addition to bringing my training as a Certified Trauma Therapist (CTT-Intern) and a Sex Addiction Therapist (ASAT)to bear on these issues.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in couples therapy, trauma work, and recovery from addiction. I have worked as a therapist in a 90-Day Residential Treatment Center, Community Mental Health, and in Private Practice. I have led therapy intensives, group therapy, taught courses at the university level, and managed a therapeutic high and low ropes course.

I am passionate about helping women and teens navigate life, relationships, and finding grace in a world where it can feel like there is not enough of it to go around. As a believer, mom, bonus mom, and chronic illness warrior I believe I can offer a unique perspective to women who are struggling with feelings of doubt and inadequacy. My goal is to provide a calm, nonjudgmental environment where I can help you to better understand why you feel the way you do and help you to navigate the stress in your life while becoming the person you want to be.

I believe therapy is about growth, healing and relationship. We all carry burdens which weigh on us daily. Some heavier than others. At Mercer Counseling Center, therapy is not approached as a method of "fixing" people. Therapy is viewed as a path which leads to shifts and changes in one's life which can provide more peace, personal growth and healing for both the mind and body. I utilize a systemic approach in order to allow individuals and families to view problematic issues from a larger, more holistic perspective in hopes of capturing more opportunities for change, healing and relationship.
