Dr. Kaufman is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and director of Gateway Neuropsychology, LLC. Dr. Kaufman provides evidence-based evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults, including comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, ADHD testing, and forensic assessment. He also offers individual and family psychotherapy, specialized behavioral therapy for ADHD, and organization/executive skills training. Dr. Kaufman enjoys teaching and speaking engagements, and is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at Saint Louis University, where he is active in teaching, clinical training, and research.

I work together with my clients to address their specific goals and needs; enhance and improve their overall well-being; and assist them towards a better tomorrow. I have spent a number of years specializing in difficult cases whether it be individual work, couples counseling or family therapy. I especially enjoy working with families whose adolescents appear to be out of control. In those cases it is my job to help the parents to become strong enough to assume their authority and help the family to return to normalcy. I think that what draws clients to my practice is my own strength and sense of competency.

Oftentimes a therapist needs a therapist, and I specialize in working with therapists. I am intimately familiar with the burnout and fatigue that accompanies a therapists’ job. Every therapist I have worked with is a deeply compassionate, selfless, and idealistic person, who is dedicated to their clients.
