My clients generally feel hopeful almost as soon as making contact with me. It's reassuring to know that your therapist has 30 yrs' experience and can help! I am warm yet direct, creative yet informative, engaged yet objective. My expertise includes: family therapy, individual therapy, couples therapy and group therapy. I am very skilled in counseling adolescents and adults. Through psychotherapy, my clients have enjoyed success in replacing destructive communication patterns in the family with effective skills, overcoming anxiety and depression, connecting with others-intimately or otherwise, and increasing self-esteem.
Each person has an innate striving toward mastery, and I begin by immediately accessing that powerful drive. Feeling understood for their strengths as well as their struggles is very important when people are hurting. A sense of humor helps too! In addition, I love giving talks and workshops for large groups.
Becoming a Psychoanalyst gives me the insight and compassion to co-create profound and lasting change. My clients love my unique "Communication Format" which teaches safe conflict resolution, and my Guided Imagery techniques. I am licensed in CA and in KY.
