I am a Licenced Clinical Social Worker and have been working in the mental health field for 20 years. I recieved my Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Family Mental Health from Syracuse University. I also recieved a Master's Certificate in Women's Studies and completed research on the development of adolescent girls. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families and will coordinate with any people that you would like to be a part of your wellness team. I am person centered meaning I will focus on you and what works best for you.
I believe we develop "symptoms" such as anxiety and depression when our body is trying to tell us something in our life is no longer working. I will provide education about any symptoms/diagnosis you may have, cognitive behavioral therapy to relieve symptoms and insight based therapy to help identify the source of your distress.
I will join with you to explore your past but more importantly to plan your future. Most people find me very easy to talk to and enjoy my ability to have a sense of humor when dealing with situations that often feel overwhelming. Services can also be provided in the comfort of your own home.
