I have an interactive approach involving nonjudgmental listening and insightful feedback. I specialize in depressive, anxiety, trauma and stress disorders, as well as couples and family therapy. I work with adolescents (12-17), young and middle aged adults and seniors. I have clinical training and experience in CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapy; mindfulness training; bereavement, grief and loss; and families in transition. I utilize the Gottman Method for couples and help clients manage conflict, deepen friendship and intimacy, and develop tools to work through fights, prevent escalation and avoid relapse.
Together, we’ll work to address acute and chronic stressors; develop distress tolerance, emotional regulation and effective coping skills; and foster positive thought patterns and behavior; and strengthen self confidence and personal empowerment. I will help you create a path forward that includes healthy relationships and increased self-confidence.
I understand that clients must feel connected to and understood by their therapist. My first priority is to create a safe and trusting space. I believe clients are the experts about themselves. My approach is to help you develop your goals and your path forward. Our work will address specific problems and focus on your unique skills and abilities.
