However, few people know that repeated exposure to small traumas can lead to Complex PTSD—a potentially more debilitating diagnosis. Even mild but repeated abuse or neglect can lead to: anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD personality disorders (narcissistic or borderline), attachment, interpersonal problems, (marital and employment), chronic pain, physical disability, anger, sleep issues, self-sabotage and many more. I have long had a passion to help people and am so grateful for the chance to do so as a therapist. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages on an individual basis or in a family setting. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a marriage and family therapist I see the value in including family when desired to increase success. I have extensive knowledge working with individuals with drug and alcohol addiction and their families.

I focus on attachment, trauma, complex family systems, anxiety, depression, and other complexities. I am versatile in treating anxiety, neurodiversity, depression, and/or if you are feeling stuck in life. I work with adolescents on up and can work with couples, families, and child/parent relationships.

I believe healing and thriving occur through creating new meaning from our life experiences and through nurturing loving connection with others and ourselves. I also understand coming into therapy to get help with those changes can be scary. You don’t have to do this alone. Every human is worthy of love, acceptance, and respect just as they are, and I work hard to create a safe space for my clients where they feel they can share and be themselves.

As someone who has firsthand experience with the complexities of being of mixed race, I understand the challenges that marginalized individuals and families can face. These challenges may include societal and cultural biases, discrimination, and a lack of representation in various aspects of life. I am particularly interested in providing support to minoritized individuals and families who may be struggling with personal and relational issues, such as those related to self-identity, mental health, family dynamics, and interpersonal relationships. My area of specialization is working with LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and racial minorities

I have worked in mental health for 18 years and LDS Family Services for 10 years, and now in private practice for the last 9 years. With my experience I can treat any marital problems you might be facing, and any major mental health problem or sexually addictive behavior problem. I believe that each person possesses the resources to change before coming to therapy. My job is to guide you in accessing your own personal resources for change while introducing skills you desire to learn. Some of the issues I specialize in are birth trauma and perinatal struggles, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, chronic health conditions, disabilities and physical limitations, and eating disorders. Comp Treatment Clinic specializes in the treatment of all problematic sexual behaviors. Our staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most comprehensive treatment available. We provide individual and group therapy for all problematic sexual behaviors, including problematic pornography use and are involved in regular and ongoing training in order to stay at the cutting edge of addiction and trauma treatment. In addition to individual and group therapy, we provide marital and family therapy. We are providers for the Utah Department of Corrections and NOJOS. We provide telehealth throughout Idaho and Utah.
