I believe life is a learning experience and we can all learn to live a better life by alleviating unnecessary suffering. Much suffering stems from unconscious and conscious memory traces that can be either extinguished or remedied, so that these no longer trigger emotional responses. To do this I use EMDR and IFS integration as well as hypnotherapy. I like to work with children, adolescents, couples, and/or families in individual, family, and group settings in traditional face to face and/or teletherapy modalities to improve functioning, behavioral problems, and mental/emotional difficulties.

I believe that everyone has a unique story, deserving an equally unique therapeutic experience that speaks to their story and prompts the change they desire most. I have a special love for working with pre-teens into early adulthood as well as adoptees (all ages), fosterees (all ages) and former foster youth. I am specialized in foster care, adoption, reunification, those who have experienced childhood institution (Hospitalizations and Residential Treatment Facilities) and parent-child attachment. I also specialize in racial trauma, institutional racism, Grief/Loss and identity.

I use Family Systems Theory, Person-Centered and CBT theoretical approaches but others can be incorporated as needed. Christian based counseling is also offered if requested.
