Dr. Sharika Mcfadden is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience working with adults, children, and families. She is passionate about supporting adults, couples, and individuals in making change. Dr. McFadden specializes in many areas, including (but not limited to) work-life balance issues, couples therapy, career counseling, relationship issues, transgender and LGBTQIQ+ issues, anxiety, major life transitions, military family life, and child custody concerns.

The typical clients I work with are like you and me, usually have successful careers, have a faith orientation, although not always, and have a tremendous longing to find, repair, or revitalize something gone wrong in themselves or in relationship with those closest. They are individuals and couples who are hurting at their core, who want more than just a quick fix, a few techniques, or merely a listening ear. They want answers, real, deep, transforming answers. They realize deep down that it is probably going to take longer than they want or expect. But, they are longing and willing to do whatever it takes to get to a better place

I whole heartedly believe in these values and make an intentional effort to sincerely help every client I have the privilege to work with. I strive to be present with my clients, while offering compassion and encouragement towards growth, understanding and perseverance in difficult times. I have worked in both community mental health settings and private settings. When it is requested by the client, I offer spiritual guidance, through Christian principals. I help clients gain understanding of God's purpose and presence during hardships in a supportive, confidential setting.
