I enjoy working with clients from every background. I believe therapy is a collaborative process with the overall goal being to address your concerns or issues in a manner that works specifically for you. I traditionally work from a Cognitive/Behavioral viewpoint, but also integrate family systems and insight oriented approaches. I believe treatment is a collaborative endeavor and I strive to work with clients in the manner that is most helpful to them.

My practice focuses on those who are seeking, through a spiritual path -- healing, accountability, recovery, wholeness and balance. I have 25+ years of experience as a priest who has provided counsel and guidance to families, couples, individuals, adolescents, and children who have struggling with any variety of life issues. I have clinical training in Mental Health associated with substance abuse, PTSD, depression, grief, loss, and anxiety. I maintain a small practice with The Center for Relationships. This permits me to address each client's situation more fully and attentively.

We are whole people: body, mind, heart, and soul with strengths that have helped us get through tremendous challenges in life. At some point we all hit a challenge that brings us down and at times even leads to a great unraveling of ourself. I counsel an array of emotional and behavioral aspects including ADHD/ADD, depression, anxiety, anger management, men's issues, relationship issues, health challenges and substance abuse. I believe that people can change and grow throughout their lifespan. Counseling can facilitate self understanding as well as understanding of others. My clients range from adults and older adolescents dealing with individual life challenges, to couples dealing with relationship issues, and seniors adjusting to changes and challenges.

Although it is scary to acknowledge our pain and reach out for help, doing so is also a sign of strength and courage. I believe people do the best they can with what they have. My role is to help you utilize your strengths and share my expertise so you can develop new insights and skills to make positive life changes.

I work with individuals, couples and families of all ages with a wide range of mental health issues. These include but are not limited to Alcohol and Drug related issues, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Dual Diagnosis and relationship related issues. My training started at The University of Kentucky studying Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2005. I have a passion for what I do and cannot imagine doing anything else.

I believe that we have to be able to live and deal with stress and issues in the present to achieve success, joy and peace that we seek. Life situations and/or Mental Illness can keep these from happening. Having that neutral person to be a support person can be what's needed . My specialty focus lies in dealing with Depression, ADHD, Marriage Therapy, Anxiety, Infant loss, and Trauma. I have experience with kids, adolescents and adults. Approaches used are (CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Gottman Method and Play Therapy) effective with children, adolescents and adults.

Virtual and in- person sessions being offered. I work with all ages, and families to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. I discover and get to know each person individually. I base my counseling style on my clients needs, strengths and goals. I utilize multiple models in the counseling experience: Advanced Accelerated Resolution; ART, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral and Play Therapies. I apply Therapeutic Art Techniques to the treatment process. I also have had real life experiences dealing and overcoming life stressors of my own. I offer Mental Health, ADHD and Parenting Assessments/ Classes.
