In fact, it can cause you to feel much worse! I enjoy working with clients across the life span (birth- adulthood) specializing in complex cases. Complex could be defined as any of these: treatment failures, multiple or co-occurring diagnosis, intellectual disabilities or personality disorders. I believe we deserve to live with joy. I am passionate about helping those who feel that they are constantly functioning from a place of fear, suffering and stress. I prefer to utilizes a variety of modalities because I believe that one size does not fit all. Some of my favorite modalities are DBT, family systems therapy, expressive arts, ERP for OCD, EMDR & Prolonged Exposure for PTSD.

Anna Gonzalez began her career in mental health with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and working with adolescents with mental health issues, teaching life skills and mood management skills. Anna furthered her education by completing a Master’s in Social Work, again from Florida Atlantic University. Anna has worked in a number of clinical settings, including mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis with children, adolescents, couples, adults and families.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Stephanie counsels children, young adults and families. She specializes in helping people struggling with challenging life transitions, social skills, depression, personality disorders, and anxiety. During therapy, Stephanie creates a safe and open environment where her clients can feel comfortable exploring their troubles, behaviors, and emotions. She draws on a variety of skills and therapeutic methods including DBT, expressive therapy, family systems therapy, play therapy and more.

I utilize various therapeutic modalities when working with clients. I am also a qualified supervisor for MSW registered interns who are working toward obtaining licensure.

Ray Possen is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and Certified Trauma Professional. Ray is owner of Open Minds Psychotherapy LLC and works in a residential treatment center in the Palm Beach area. Ray utilizes various treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and client centered approaches that foster and encourage internal change and development of coping mechanisms to create lasting growth in life.
