Dr. Diana Kang is a licensed Psychologist and came to Roots Through Recovery in 2017 with a strong clinical background specializing in all levels of care in various settings. Dr. Kang has managed and developed several programs for both residential and outpatient programs. Prior to Roots Through Recovery, she served as the Chief Clinical Officer for a nonprofit organization and has treated and overseen the clinical services for clients with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders and personality disorders.

I have been in private practice for the last 15 years. I work with individuals, couples, and families. Most of my clients are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or all three. Typically they are making their way through a major upheaval in their lives, such as divorce, tragic loss, job stress, severe communication problems, and strained family relationships. I am part of a group practice called WellBeings Therapy. I have experience working with children, youth and adults. I work with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, life stressors/transitions, attachment/relationship issues and trauma. I specialize in working with early infant mental health and have received extensive training in this area. I am certified in Child Parent-Psychotherapy (CPP), a treatment modality aimed at supporting the child-caregiver dyad move through trauma.
