I'm so glad you found me! I specialize in couples counseling with an emphasis on conflict resolution and affair/betrayal recovery. I also thoroughly enjoy helping adults who struggle with anxiety. Anxiety isn't just fear/nervousness. Anxiety happens when we aren't willing to process difficult emotions. Anxiety can present itself through anger/projection, isolation, busyness, and being unusually overwhelmed. As I operate within the Bowen Family Systems theory, a safe space is created that promotes the ability to process these undesired emotions lending the ability to promote emotional resiliency, maturity and balance!

I believe that therapy offers a beneficial way to find a different perspective on difficult situations and that people who make the decision to see a therapist are looking for a way to improve those situations. We can always learn new ways to make our lives and relationships better. With empathy and compassion, I help clients find resolution to a wide range of personal concerns and psychological issues. I have worked at psychiatric hospitals, addiction residential facilities as well as outpatient settings and have over 25 years’ experience working with clients from a family systems approach.

I am one of a HANDFUL of Filipina American therapists based in Houston, the fourth largest and most diverse city in the nation. I am trilingual in English and the Filipino dialects: Tagalog and Cebuano. I have a unique understanding of the bicultural/immigrant experience, being an immigrant myself.
