I help people find hope and relief from distress created by life circumstances and relationships. Together we can work on establishing healthy emotional, psychological and relational rhythms and boundaries as a part of healing and growth. It is my strong belief that all people have access to the power of hope and compassion as means to live out a better story.

Finding the true origin of an issue or challenge, as well as exploring skill sets and solution paths to address this, is an ever-evolving and interesting journey. I enjoy embarking on this journey with kids, teens and adults. I utilize a strengths-based, reality-based, motivational approach. Interventions are guided by evidence-based practices and good ol' trial and error... since every person is unique. My therapy dog, Boss Paws, sometimes joins in. He may give a nudge of support or simply look cute (like fuzzballs do) and provide an element of anxiety relief. He's cool like that!

I enjoy working with a variety of people. I know how difficult it can be to make that first step towards healing by seeing a therapist. I want to meet you along the way in making that step as simple as I can. My goal is to ensure that we are a good fit to collaborate and then determine what your most pressing needs are. I am especially interested in working with BIPOC individuals who are moving past cultural assumptions about mental health and pursuing healing in the midst of their doubts.

Currently I am not accepting new clients, but this may change when my schedule has more openings. I believe in helping people discover their hidden resources to cope more effectively with the difficulties of life, including bereavement, complicated grief, mood disturbance, depression, anger, anxiety, behavior problems of youth, and the effects of addiction on family. I enjoy working with adolescents, children, adults, couples, and families. Expressive approaches include spiritually integrated therapy, therapeutic music, play therapy for children, solution focused narrative therapy,and cognitive behavioral therapy.
