Children and Families have been my passion for the duration of my professional career. Specializing in services to Pre-Kindergarten to college seniors, I utilize a strength-based supportive counseling approach to overcome challenges within and outside the family system. As a passionate and impactful School Counselor, I help students and their families navigate their complex worlds to live a knowledge-rich, healthy, happy life. As a mental health professional, I understand the unique nature of individual school culture that supports and sometimes challenges children. I provide non-school-based supportive counseling services.

I believe in a trusting therapeutic relationship to create change. Then we design, create and assemble a toolbox filled with interests, experiences, successes, skills, and reminders to handle the unexpected and difficult parts of life. Since working with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families for over 20 years, my specialties focus on social skills development, interpersonal relationships, verbal and nonverbal communication, as well as understanding and identifying client strengths, beliefs, and passions so that they may gain a toolbox that works for them.

My ideal client is someone who is seeking a safe space to land where they can feel comforted, affirmed, and valued. My passion is working with kids (10+), teenage girls, and young adult women facing challenges such as anxiety, sports performance, life changes, friendship struggles, depression, self-esteem, and perfectionistic tendencies. The clients I support are high-achieving, motivated, and goal-driven individuals who are often silently struggling on the inside. My goal is to assist clients in developing the skills and mindsets necessary to reach their full potential. I support my clients by offering them unconditional encouragement while building upon their strengths and talents.

I am pretty traditional in my beliefs about the purpose of therapy, but not your traditional therapist.I do not sit with a notebook and write down everything you say with a hmm at the end before I collect my fee.I am interactive and even directive sometimes. I guess that's why I work well with teenagers:) So, if you want therapy to be fun, I'm your gal. My specialty area has been adolescents and addiction for over 30 years, but I see adults too (codependence, divorce, parent alienation) etc. I am also a past President of LPCA, and operate a new virtual business called ProjectEvolve.com. It is an alternative to social media for kids.
