I specialize in women's issues ( parenting, job re-entry, divorce, empty nest, aging parents, post partum depression.) I am experienced working with clients who have anxiety, depression, family issues, divorce and grief . I also enjoy working with teenagers in the areas of anxiety , depression and behavior/lifestyle modification. I am a licensed professional counselor with expertise in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative, Family Systems, and I am certified in Trauma Focused-CBT. I am committed to providing evidence-based treatments for trauma, anxiety, mood (ie., depression, bipolar), grief, behavioral problems, stress, grief/loss. I enjoy working with both couples and individuals. Couples therapy can consist of troubles with communication, sex therapy concerns such as education, dysfunctions, lack of desire/interest, pain in sexual activity, medication side effects, and anxiety/depression related to sexual issues, post-affair recovery, and relationship conflict across the lifespan. I also work with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relational problems, including family systems. As a depth psychotherapist, my goal is to help you uncover your highest potential for living a life worth celebrating. Rebecca aims to provide a safe and uplifting environment for clients to foster their authentic self, gain insight regarding themselves and others, engage in positive peer interactions, and build self-confidence. She enjoys working with neurodiverse couples, individuals, and families. She specializes in ADHD, Autism, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, and mood disorders. Rebecca also leads therapeutic gaming, process-oriented, and social skills groups and provides virtual and in-person services at the Marietta office.

I am pretty traditional in my beliefs about the purpose of therapy, but not your traditional therapist.I do not sit with a notebook and write down everything you say with a hmm at the end before I collect my fee.I am interactive and even directive sometimes. I guess that's why I work well with teenagers:) So, if you want therapy to be fun, I'm your gal. My specialty area has been adolescents and addiction for over 30 years, but I see adults too (codependence, divorce, parent alienation) etc. I am also a past President of LPCA, and operate a new virtual business called ProjectEvolve.com. It is an alternative to social media for kids.
