I am a developmental psychologist and a licensed marriage and family therapist. I specialize in children, adolescents, parenting, co-parenting, and family systems. I believe that each member of a family impacts every other member, so when issues arise in one member, each member is affected. I place a high importance on communication within a family to help them to improve family dynamics. Issues in an individual or a family can arise at any time, so clients will graduate therapy with the skills they need to conquer future stressors.

She is a NYS OASAS-Approved Provider for DWI/DUI assessments and assists individuals and families dealing with substance abuse. Amy also helps spouses dealing with co-dependency issues and child welfare cases. Additional services include: individual counseling, marriage counseling, family counseling, parent education, and working with children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional challenges.

While earning my doctorate in child and school psychology at New York University, I had the opportunity to work in hospitals, schools and private practice providing psychotherapy and administering evaluations to children, adolescents and adults. While I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, I have a passion for working with adolescents/teenagers and young adults and guiding them to raise self-awareness, encourage self-esteem and self-love and ultimately make positive changes to become happier individuals.

I have been a practicing social worker for many years. I have a great deal of experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as families and couples. My specialties include issues with substances--use, abuse and dependence--and family problems. I practice solution based treatment and work within various modalities.
