Hi, I'm Dr. Allegra Borghese. I'm passionate about helping people connect to their innate resources for healing and making meaning. Through a warm and committed therapeutic alliance, I foster awareness and growth in children, adolescents, and adults to overcome life's challenges. In addition to my doctorate from Fordham University, my training includes work in psychiatric hospitals, VA hospitals, addiction and eating disorder facilities, college counseling centers, and communities clinics.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but sobriety is worth the effort. Throughout my time working in the behavioral health field, including my role as a clinician at Mountainside treatment center, I have had the pleasure of assisting clients as they embark on their recovery journey. At Mountainside, I use a person-centered approach to form meaningful therapeutic relationships and brainstorm practical solutions to early treatment hurdles. Drawing from evidence-based practices, I have helped people of different ages and socioeconomic backgrounds create treatment plans to ensure a comprehensive and successful recovery.

Peter Juliano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. Peter has been helping adolescents, adults, and families struggling with addiction and mental health disorders for more than 10 years. He has worked as a counselor, family therapist, and administrator in inpatient substance use disorder treatment and hospital settings. Peter is currently an adjunct professor at Adelphi University School of Social Work and teaches graduate level courses in individual counseling, group counseling, motivational interviewing, and family therapy.
