I am a Licensed Psychologist with 20 years of experience in private practice, community and hospital settings. I specialize in the treatment of unresolved emotional injuries from childhood, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety and grief. Through our work together, my clients gain insight and shift outdated coping mechanisms, such as addiction, codependency and compulsive behaviors. I also treat acute trauma, that can result from accidents, medical care, interpersonal or community violence.
I am Certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), a cutting edge mind/body psychotherapy that focuses on the treatment of trauma. SP works directly with the nervous system and is particularly useful for people who experience chronic anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, dissociation and attachment difficulties.
I find that using the body as a source of information in therapy about deeply held beliefs and emotions often results in lasting change. Ultimately, my goal is to guide you through the healing process, help you develop better ways to cope, find clarity, and to feel calmer and more confident in yourself.
